Comics Is Fun For Everyone!

This is an amazing expedition; I believe we are yet to see more from CCTI, more things keep on coming. This is just one of many methods of letting things be done the easy way. With comic strips, it is clearly evident that I have found it helpful for motivation and maybe there is a possibility of it increasing the level of student’s participation in class.

Never the less, comics in itself is pictorial in nature and therefore, fundamentally a visual medium which can’t simply be compared to the traditional way of writing things with a lot of texts.

Now from this lesson, it is crystal clear that technology does not only demystify how we write, but it is a tool of writing itself.

Below is a sample comic created out of the collaboration between me and Farida Ziribaggwa.

How a Changing Education Landscape Affects Teaching Practice

Such changes enables the design of learning situations that actively engage and guide learners while allowing them to choose the style of the learning experience and to organize the knowledge outcomes.
This conceptualization of the ever changing education landscape helps us make the transition from learning in a physical space such as the classroom or the library, to learning in a student-centered learning environment in cyberspace. Some of the key aspects
(i)           to improve outcomes and sharing ideas to transform teaching and learning.
(ii)          to engage some of the hard to reach learners through the provision of special support by motivating learning experiences.
(iii)         building an open services and systems online
(iv)         be able to achieve effectiveness through the use of online resources.
