Recommended Potential of Web Resources for Teaching and Learning Physics

Recommended Potential of Web Resources for Teaching and Learning Physics

Considering the lesson we went through, this time I will explain some basic specifications of an effective website. You will have to note that missing some of the components may result in to a hapless or bad taste for any visitors of the website, some of these specifications are:
(i)           Fresh and original content that delivers what people are looking for. This will keep people super glued to such a website for more.
(ii)          The target audience from the first click should be able to determine what the website is offering them and how they will benefit from the website.
(iii)         Is it easy to navigate through the pages; are there search boxes for visitors to find for more?
(iv)         The layout of the web should be attractive to the eyes. This will include color contrasting etc. remember no one has the time to read all that in a single page…

I read some note about the khan academy from http://fnoschese.wordpress.com/tag/khan-academy/ claiming that KhanAcademy materials has some errors in content and some deficiency in pedagogy, this is something I will yet have to discover for myself because this has been my long term website.

However, I was identifying and locating websites, I evaluated this website (http://www.sharemylesson.com/teaching-resource/states-of-matter-interactive-simulation-6050123/) and recommended. I used the tool shown below:

Conclusion

Remember to find all or some of the characteristics above in any website you would want to use its resources.
