This reflection
comes to you as I wait for a feed back from the Tutor on my WebQuest.
It
is through this challenge phase that I almost concluded that education is what
which remains when all that was taught in class plus the grades you scored are all
long since forgotten.
To
deal with the challenge phase, out of the two options provided of whether using
Zunal or WebQuest template, I went on for the latter in which I used the
template to introduce the conception of motion in a straight line for example,
the motion of an athlete up an incline to arose the interest of the learners
just in case they were on the incline themselves.
This conception
builds the idea right from scratch and by responding to simple common sense
questions by the learners will lead to true understanding of these concepts and
therefore longer retention.
Ciao!
The Challenge phase is actually the least challenging. But if you do not challenge your students in the Introduction and Task phases there is no substance in the Challenge phase. You have not challenged your students. The problem is that you have not designed a WebQuest, but just a unit of lessons.
