With
online programmes , to you the student, you no longer need the walls and the
limited amount of time allocated to you to do certain task, the don’ts of the
class room is no longer your problem. You
are certainly going to enjoy online programme. You need to have access to a
desk top or a laptop with high speed internet.
The
teacher needs only to develop the right videos, the audio lessons, content rich
websites and online chats and his work is done after the uploads are done.
(i)
there is individual learning speed regulated by
him/her,
(ii)
improves the level of communication;
(iii)
it allows you to save the information for further referral;
(iv)
enabling feedback/protocol
(v)
it also enhances cooperation and collaboration
(vi)
enriched discussion forums
(i)
There is a total loss of control of the class, the
teacher doesn’t have any say any more;
(ii)
It may not be suitable for everybody;
(iii)
It is not comparable to real interaction;
(iv) There is no transparency of individual contribution,
more specifically on group tasks.

ReplyDeleteGood Mustafa. The learner learns at their own pace.
ReplyDeleteGreat post Mustafa. The learner has the chance to view sites and videos at will.
ReplyDeleteWell done Mustafa, I like your illustrations on the right, are you also an artist? I noticed this in your infographic, too. Your pros weigh heavier than cons. There are some 21st Century skills being developed in your pros list, like communication, collaboration, and also critical thinking skills as they are engaged in discussion forums.
ReplyDeleteGreat thanks Tutor, not actually an artist but my subject (Physics) involves alot of sketching and drawing and that makes my hand more freely in giving some kind of artistic view.
DeleteGreat comments buddies! it is a matter of time to kick start!
