Teachers /Learners of Then….…Teachers/Learners of Tomorrow



When we were trained to be teachers, and started working in schools, we
But our advice to you now is
Verbal discussions were a more common mode of interactions;
Make discussions through texts and verbal interactions, online etc
Instructions were made strictly under the control of  a teacher
Ensure that classroom instructions can even be online
We Often got little time for reflection during sessions and after sessions;
Ensure that level of reflection is high
unequal participation of learners so common;
do something to promote more equal participation;
had detailed feedback on each learner’s piece of work;
Continue the spirit of encouraging feedback on each learner’s piece of work;
The whole process used to be quicker, with some limited time
The process should be appropriately moderated
Chalk boards a common instructional aids
Let even interactive while boards come in
Curriculum teacher centered
Learner centered curriculum to be encouraged

  1. It's true that in the old system, neither the learners or the teachers got time for reflection. I wonder why we didn't! Maybe we didn't know how useful it is.!
